The third government of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was formed on June 6, 2014 following the victory of the Fidesz–Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP) alliance in Hungary’s 2014 National Assembly election held two months previously. Seven of the twelve ministers in the government are members of Fidesz, while three are members of the KDNP (Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, Defense Minister István Simicskó and National Development Minister Miklós Seszták) and two are nominal independents (Interior Minister Sándor Pintér and Justice Minister László Trócsányi).
