Minister in Charge of the Prime Ministry Gergely Gulyás

Gergely Gulyás has served as minister without portfolio in charge of the Prime Ministry since May 2018, replacing János Lázár in this position with the formation of the fourth Orbán government.

Gulyás has been a Fidesz National Assembly representative since 2010. He has served as the chairman of the Fidesz National Assembly caucus since October 2, 2017.

He was one of three people—along with Fidesz Member of the European Parliament József Szájer and Constitutional Court member László Salamon—who drafted Hungary’s constitution, known as the Fundamental Law, that came into force on January 1, 2012.

Gulyás was born and raised in Budapest. He received a degree in law from the Péter Pázmány Catholic University in Budapest in 2004.
